Dr. Catherine Davies completed an internship in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of California, Irvine and then a psychiatry residency at the University of Washington. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and a member of Perinatal Support Washington. After graduation from residency in 2011 Dr. Davies worked at Swedish Medical Center in Seattle taking care of women before, during and after their pregnancies at the Center for Perinatal Bonding and Support, which she co-founded in 2016. In 2020 she moved into private practice full time. Her private practice gives her the opportunity to care for patients on a more long-term basis and to incorporate more psychotherapy into her practice. In addition to expertise in medication management during pregnancy and breastfeeding, Dr. Davies has been trained in multiple modes of psychotherapy and is able to draw from these schools to create a comprehensive treatment plan. She enjoys giving talks to medical professionals with the goal to increase access to quality mental health care for pregnant and nursing women.
